Meet Our Visionary Leader: François Jean Viel

François Jean Viel, the dynamic force behind Viel Marketing International, holds a distinguished certificate in tourism from the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec and an H.B.A. from York University in Toronto. With an extensive international career that spans over 25 countries, François has uniquely combined work and pleasure, including a transformative sabbatical year in South America.

Starting as a tourist information agent, François quickly rose to manage coordination roles for leading tour operators in Toronto. His innovative spirit led him to create a receptive department and manage a language school before becoming a Quebec City tourist office sales delegate and Tourisme Québec in Vancouver and Toronto, covering all markets.

François’s creativity knows no bounds. He introduced groundbreaking programs in Quebec and Ontario, established a network of French-speaking homestays in Ontario for a unique cultural immersion experience, and launched initiatives such as the “Québec City Express Bus,” unique gastronomic evenings, and Discover Québec in British Columbia and Ontario.

In 2014, François founded Viel Marketing International, Inc., extending his expertise to a global audience. He hosts insightful webinars on Quebec and other destinations, contributes to tourism newsletters, and provides engaging online training.
